Secondary typeface

Louisiana

Louisiana is a typeface based on a casual handwriting style and was selected for the “People first.” brand mark because of its inherently “human” feel. It should be used for display applications and short headers where a more personal feel is desired and when contrast to the more technical look of DIN OT is needed. But Louisiana should be used sparingly; it is not suitable for any application longer than just a few words and should never be used for body copy.

The Louisiana font is a typeface that is only appropriate for Marketing use, and in very limited instances. We do not have license for this font that is widely available, and do not recommend using the Louisiana font outside of Marketing deliverables.

To ensure readability, the recommended minimum size for setting type in Louisiana is 20 points.

DIN OT & LOUISIANA IN USE

This headline is an example of DIN OT Medium set at 12pt font size with 17pt line spacing.

This body copy is shown in DIN OT Light set at 10pt font size with 15pt line spacing. There are no strict rules for alignment of the lines, which can be left, right, or centered. Avoid long line lengths, which are difficult to read.

LOUISIANA TEXT STYLING

  • Use sparingly!
  • Only use in short phrases.
  • Never use in all caps.
