AN EXPRESSION OF OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our brand tagline, “People first.”, is now integrated into our visual branding in two ways: (1) A version of the logo that includes the tagline is now available; and (2) a separate “People first” brand mark has been added to our graphics library. This brand mark gives designers another option for reinforcing this important point of differentiation in our advertising and collateral.

PROPER USAGE

The “People first.” brand mark is not intended to function as an independent entity. It should always be used in conjunction with the primary brand logo — appearing on the same page, as in the example shown, or on separate pages within a multi-page collateral piece.

To avoid redundancy, in any application where the “People first.” brand mark is present, use the version of the primary logo that does not include the tagline.

Logo usage

ENSURE PROPER CONTRAST AND READABILITY

Do not place our logo over backgrounds that could compromise contrast and readability. Problematic backgrounds include saturated color fields, photographs, and busy textures. This rule applies to both positive and reverse versions of the logo.

PROPER LOGO STAGING

Always ensure correct clear space between the logos and other elements in layout. The letter “e” or “o” in the logotype provides a reference measurement for minimum clearance on all sides of the logo.

PROPER LOGO PRESENTATION

The logos must be used as provided, with no alterations to color, proportion, perspective, or the arrangement of elements. Do not add effects to the logos such as drop shadows, glows, bevels, embosses, outlines, etc. Do not add other elements or typography to the logos.

Do not use the UltiPro logo without the Ultimate Software attribution below.

Do not tilt the logo.

Do not create logo lockups by adding type in close proximity to the logotype.

Do not use unapproved variations of the logo artwork.

Do not recreate the logo.

Do not change the logo’s colors.

Do not alter UltiMatt or add elements to the logo.

Do not use logo artwork that has been scaled up or down in Photoshop, as the resolution may not be sufficient for reproduction.

Do not crop the logo to remove elements of the artwork. The words “Ultimate” and “Software” must be presented together.

ULTIPRO LOGO ALTERNATIVE

Digital applications in which the logo will appear smaller than 150 pixels wide, such as web banners, applications, or other digital interfaces should use the horizontal stacked UltiPro logo. The Primary UltiPro logo should always be the first choice, and the horizontal stacked UltiPro logo should only be used when there are space constraints.

Applications in which the logo will appear smaller than 1.25 inches, such as promo items, apparel, and small ad placements should never appear with the “People first.” tagline.

Xander logo

THE XANDER LOGO

This logo represents our Xander product offering. The artwork also includes the “by Ultimate Software” attribution.

Because the Xander logo contains the “by Ultimate Software” attribution, it can standon its own. There are some instances where using both the Xander logo and the Ultimate Software logo on the same page is acceptable. For example, if the Ultimate Software logo is within a footer

FULL-COLOR LOGO

The positive, full-color version of the product logo should be used whenever possible. It is approved for use on light or white backgrounds.

OTHER VERSIONS OF THE XANDER LOGO ARTWORK

While the full color logo is preferred, certain applications may require an alternate version due to limitations in media reproduction. The following versions are available for those situations.

We love the team pride that inspires different graphics, but it’s important to be seen as one company with a consistent brand and voice. For this reason, we encourage employees to use the official Ultimate Software email signature and powerpoint template, rather than a team, department, or alternative version.

Ultimate Software’s portfolio of products and services is continuously evolving. It’s important to maintain consistency when branding new offerings.

Refer to the following guidelines and structure during the process, but remember that all naming requests must be directed to Ultimate’s marketing department so they can run a trademark conflict search.
