Ultimate Software Previews New Onboarding Solution at the 2014 HR Technology Conference

New Hire-Centered Onboarding Experience
At the HR Technology Conference & Exposition, Ultimate Software provided attendees with a preliminary look at its new UltiPro Onboarding solution that will be available in early 2015.

According to Cecile Alper-Leroux, vice president of product strategy and product marketing at Ultimate Software, the company’s new onboarding solution has been designed to deliver a transformative new hire experience that helps new employees feel connected, engaged, and productive faster as opposed to focusing primarily on automating and managing transactions.

  • The ability to introduce employees to a mentor within the company that can provide guidance and coaching

  • Options to view and sign up for learning opportunities that are relevant to that position

  • Built-in messaging capabilities to help employees connect and collaborate with fellow team members

  • Onboarding goals that can be set for the first 30, 60, or 90 days of employment

  • Electronic completion, review, and signing of required documents, such as tax forms, policy documents, and employment eligibility forms

  • Access to the solution via any mobile browser

Before the design process for UltiPro Onboarding began, Ultimate Software’s resident ethnographers conducted in-depth studies with customers and non-customers, observing their behaviors during the onboarding process. Spending time with its target audience and learning about what they do and why and how they do it enabled Ultimate to design a solution that accurately addresses users’ needs and makes their life simpler at the same time.
