Ultimate Software Named to Canada’s 25 Best Workplaces for Inclusion List
Date: January 16, 2018 4:30 PM EDT
Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that it has been named to this year’s 25 Best Workplaces for Inclusion list by Great Place to Work. The list is based on direct feedback from employees at hundreds of organizations across Canada surveyed by Great Place to Work.
“We are honoured to be on this list and recognized for our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace for our employees,” said Vivian Maza, chief people officer at Ultimate. “At Ultimate, we believe organizations and their people thrive when there’s a companywide appreciation for all individuals. We pride ourselves in welcoming professionals from every background, and understand that building and protecting a culture that respects, values, and supports diverse views and experiences enables us to build innovative HCM solutions and deliver personalized customer service benefiting all people.”
As part of a “People First” commitment to diversity and inclusion, Ultimate encourages employee participation in four Community of Interest groups: PrideUS for LGBTQIA individuals; Women in Leadership for women at all levels of the organization; UltiVETS for veterans and active service members; and UltiHOPE, established in October 2017 as a support network for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. These communities offer year-round networking, social, and community service programs designed to further promote and ensure a workplace culture of inclusivity, equality, and acceptance. In addition, Ultimate’s offices worldwide host quarterly events such as multicultural potluck luncheons, where employees honour and celebrate diversity by preparing traditional ethnic dishes and sharing personal stories about their heritage.
In determining the Best Workplaces for Inclusion 2018 list, Great Place to Work analyzed employee responses to inclusion-related Trust Index survey statements, as well as the organizations’ workplace programs and practices that support inclusion. For a company to be included on the list, at least 90% of Canada-based employees surveyed at that company must have reported they are treated fairly, regardless of personal characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, age, and sexual orientation.
