Ultimate Software Customers Meet Filing Deadlines; Benefit from Reduced ACA Compliance Burden with UltiPro
Date: October 18, 2016 10:00 AM EDT
Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that the company successfully processed nearly 1.8 million submissions for more than 1,500 UltiPro ACA Employer Services customers ahead of the June 30, deadline for the 2015 filing year, with 100% timely printing and filing. Ultimate Software is certified and IRS-approved for ACA filing on behalf of its customers, offering ACA-specific functionality within its UltiPro HCM cloud solution and also ACA Services to support the administrative and compliance requirements for customers navigating their complex regulatory obligations.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires all U.S. employees with at least 50 full-time employees, including full-time equivalents, to file extensive reporting with the IRS or be subject to penalties for failure to comply. In the fall of 2015, all Ultimate customers received the UltiPro “ACA Toolkit” that provided them with the capabilities they needed to complete all the required reporting, forms, and filings for the March and June 2016 deadlines.
For customers that preferred additional assistance with distribution and filing, Ultimate also offered ACA Distribution Services to handle the forms and filing processes on behalf of the employer to ensure timely compliance. UltiPro ACA Distribution Services includes access to UltiPro’s ACA tools and reporting, the Healthcare Eligibility Dashboard, printing and distribution of employee required forms, electronic filing of 1094-C and 1095-C forms to the IRS on customers’ behalf, and access to Ultimate’s ACA benefit specialists.
“We use Ultimate Software’s ACA Distribution Services and I’ve been very pleased with the service,” said Jeff Brody, vice president of human resources for DCS Corporation. “Ultimate was very responsive during the initial setup, and we were able to create a self-sustaining ecosystem. Everyone received the required notices, and a substantial burden was taken off the plate of our director of benefits and compensation.”
“I was amazed how UltiPro kept up with all the government’s changes,” said John Coffren, chief human resources officer, VersAbility Resources. “UltiPro is an extension of our HR department because it does the work of keeping up with all the changes in the law. Even when the government threw a last minute curveball, UltiPro quickly addressed the changes and allowed us to repopulate the necessary codes before officially filing with the IRS.”
“UltiPro has made ACA amazing,” said Susan Rotkiske, benefits manager at Redner’s Warehouse Markets. “Everything in the system is so seamless, from the BI reporting to the dashboard, and I can say that I have 100% faith in it.”
“We are pleased to have provided our customers with efficient and valuable support for their ACA requirements and partnered with those customers to ensure they all met their filing deadlines,” said Julie Dodd, chief services officer at Ultimate. “In spite of ACA’s complexities and tight deadlines, our customers received Ultimate’s hallmark ‘people first’ level of attention and service.”
