Heartland Family Service Selects Cloud-Based UltiPro to Unify Human Capital Management
Date: December 5, 2014 9:30 AM EDT
Weston, FL — Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, announced today that Heartland Family Service (HFS), a non-profit, non-sectarian social work agency, has selected the cloud-based UltiPro solution for a range of business benefits that come with unified human capital management (HCM), including speed, performance, time savings, and single-source customer support.
Heartland Family Service, founded in Omaha in 1875, is an organization dedicated to strengthening individuals and families through education, counseling, and support. Its wide-ranging programs provide services for early childhood development, juvenile delinquency, child abuse, addiction, domestic violence, mental health, community centers, poverty, and homelessness. HFS annually serves approximately 40,000 people in 12 counties across Nebraska.
Previously, HFS had been handling its HR, payroll, and talent management with multiple processes, including a payroll service bureau, spreadsheets, and manual administration. Company leaders wanted a unified HCM solution that would increase the speed and productivity of its HR and payroll teams as well as deliver a range of time savings and costs savings back to the non-profit organization. In September 2014, HFS selected Ultimate’s cloud-based UltiPro solution.
“UltiPro is the right technology for our organization, our HR and payroll teams, and our people. We can experience many business benefits by having one centralized place to handle our processes for HR, payroll, time management, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and succession management,” said Kristine Hull, chief financial officer at Heartland Family Service.
In contrast to using multiple systems, organizations like HFS can connect the full scope of HCM in one single solution. Workforce-related information across every area of HCM is instantly available, resulting in real-time business intelligence and strategic insight. Employees, managers, and executives have the convenience of 24-7 direct access to relevant information. HR and payroll teams can improve performance and productivity, and the overall organization can achieve quantifiable improvements.
“Because all of our employee information will integrate in one solution, we can eliminate duplicate efforts and reconciliation. We won’t have to devote hours and hours to manually entering, checking, and reconciling data, and as a result, our teams can put more focus on supporting and enhancing our programs," said Hill. "In the long term, we hope to create better alignment between our employees and our overall mission so that the many communities and individuals that we support will be better served.”
In addition to expediting HR, payroll, and talent management, HFS rates Ultimate’s support services as an additional differentiator in the selection of UltiPro. When in need of assistance or guidance, customers like HFS have immediate access to a personal account manager at Ultimate, who is experienced in all aspects of HCM and who is intimately knowledgeable about the unique business complexities of the organization.
“Our organization operates with lean resources, and we want to make sure our people-focused processes are at their best. Without a doubt, having the right HCM vendor and the right customer service to support our efforts is critical,” said Hull. “We were impressed by the emphasis that Ultimate places on providing its customers with a high level of care. Our move to UltiPro will be a positive and exciting change for our HR and payroll teams as well as our overall organization.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Heartland Family Service to our growing family of customers,” said Chris Phenicie, chief sales officer at Ultimate Software, Mid-Market and Strategic. “Like so many organizations, HFS has recognized that one unified solution for HR, payroll, and talent management can bring new levels of efficiency, speed, and savings. With UltiPro, and with the exceptional customer support that comes with our cloud technology, this unique organization will be better positioned to achieve rapid value and optimal results.”
