Healthcare Enrollment Company Selects Cloud-Based UltiPro for Unified Suite of HCM, Strong Customer Support

Date: March 13, 2015 11:01 AM EDT

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, announced today that Human Arc, the second largest privately held eligibility enrollment services firm in the U.S., has selected UltiPro because of the business benefits that come with having a unified human capital management (HCM) in the cloud, a person-centric solution for talent acquisition, and single-source customer support across all areas of HCM and payroll.

Cleveland-based Human Arc helps hospitals and health plans improve revenue and deliver significant community benefits. The organization connects quality, affordable healthcare services with at-risk populations — helping patients and plan members who have low or no income, as well as those who are aged or who have disabilities, enroll in government-funded assistance programs.

Human Arc has faced a range of business challenges because it was using multiple systems—including a payroll service bureau—to handle its HR, payroll, and talent management. The disparate systems did not integrate well, and considerable time and effort have been spent on manual administration and reconciliation. Excited about Ultimate’s full suite of HCM, company leaders selected cloud-based UltiPro as the solution for its business challenges.

“Having one system of record for all of our HCM needs will bring dramatic improvements. One major challenge we have experienced involves our time and attendance. It has been pretty common for our managers to spend hours each week on managing employee time, and UltiPro should decrease the burden because the technology is so simple, fast, and convenient for end users. We look forward to UltiPro freeing our managers and our HR and finance-related teams from a variety of administrative tasks,” said Janet Kendall White, HCM executive at Human Arc.

“Although we are looking forward to better efficiencies, we are especially excited about new ways we can recruit and support our talent with UltiPro Recruiting and UltiPro Onboarding. The first impression of prospective associates is very important to us, and UltiPro’s solutions for talent acquisition will provide our candidates and new hires with a positive, engaging experience. In addition to making our first interaction with new associates a good experience, these talent tools definitely will help improve and enhance the way our internal teams manage these processes. With Ultimate’s easy-to-use technology, we will have one centralized location with one log-in as well as accurate, real-time visibility into our people.”

Technology is important to the leadership at Human Arc but they also understand the value of service and partnership, according to Kendall White. Ongoing issues with one of the company’s previous vendors prompted executives to select an HCM provider that has a proven record of exemplary customer support and retention. The central tenet of Ultimate’s product and services is ‘people first,’ and this is particularly illustrated in the emphasis that Ultimate places on its support services.

“While we are very excited about how UltiPro can transform the way we operate, the differentiator for us was the customer care that we experienced from minute one. We feel like we are building a relationship, that there is a high degree of attention and focus given to us and our unique business. The sense that we are in an ongoing, collaborative partnership, combined with leading-edge technology, were the answers for us in choosing Ultimate,” said Kendall White. “Because of the care and the relationship, we were ready to make the switch to UltiPro much earlier than we expected.”

“In addition to the many business advantages that come with our unified HCM, such as higher levels of speed, productivity, and strategic insight, we offer our customers exceptional support services for all areas of HCM. UltiPro is one centralized solution, backed by one centralized place for HCM support — whether it’s related to payroll, recruiting, time management, or performance management,” said Chris Phenicie, chief sales officer at Ultimate Software, UltiPro Mid-Market & Strategic. “We look forward to a successful, long-term partnership with Human Arc that brings measurable outcomes to this unique organization.”
