Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) named Ultimate Software as Outstanding Large Corporation of the Year for 2017. Presented at the annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon, the award honors corporations that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to leadership in philanthropy and volunteerism across Broward County.
“We are humbled and honored to receive this recognition,” said Vivian Maza, chief people officer at Ultimate. “All of us at Ultimate realize just how fortunate we are, and having the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others is a responsibility that we never take lightly or for granted. We’re extremely grateful for this award, which we share with our people, our philanthropic partners, and all of those dedicated to serving our community.”
Award recipients are nominated by the nonprofit organizations they serve and voted on by AFP Broward’s board of directors. The awards presentation and luncheon took place on November 15, coinciding with National Philanthropy Day, a celebration of giving, volunteering, and charitable engagement that highlights diverse philanthropic accomplishments and honors the individuals and organizations involved in making a difference in our society, throughout our world.
“We were thrilled to nominate Ultimate, and we congratulate the company on earning this well-deserved award,” said Dennis Haas, CEO of Arc Broward, a South Florida-based nonprofit. “The 360-degree relationship we have with Ultimate reaches far beyond philanthropic support. Its employees volunteer across all of our programs, continuously enriching our clients’ lives, and Ultimate’s ongoing support of our mission helps to change the community’s perception of individuals with disabilities. The relationship we’ve built over the years with Ultimate is a model we hope to replicate with all of our corporate partners.”
