Scott Scherr founded Ultimate Software in 1990 and has served as president and CEO since the company’s inception. Scott founded Ultimate Software with the goal of continuously innovating and striving for product excellence — the “ultimate software” for HR and payroll professionals — and he has continued to lead the organization with passion and dedication for more than 27 years.
Fostering a corporate culture based on honesty and respect has always been Scott’s #1 priority. He believes when an organization instills passion in its employees, when a workforce is connected to delivering the best products and services, that the results are happy, satisfied customers.
Before Ultimate Software, Scott held various positions at ADP, including vice president of operations, as well as operated Management Statistics, Inc.
Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer
Marc Scherr has been part of Ultimate Software since its formation, and currently serves as the company’s chief operating officer, managing and driving the organization’s operational performance.
Marc is an energetic and accomplished executive with more than 28 years of experience in law, investment banking, and various areas of business development and operations.
Chief Financial Officer
Felicia Alvaro serves as Ultimate Software’s chief financial officer. Over her 20 years with the company, Alvaro has been involved in all aspects of Ultimate’s finances, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and financial compliance, as well as operations. Alvaro began her career with KPMG LLP, a global accounting and consulting firm, and spent 10 years at both public and private companies prior to joining Ultimate. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President of Product Development
Adam Rogers began his career in 1997 as Ultimate Software's very first intern and quickly became a leading innovator in the field. In 2002, Adam led his team to deliver the very first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud Enterprise solution, redefining industry standards by bringing HCM to the cloud. Today, Adam serves Ultimate as CTO and holds the unique distinction of leading both product innovation and corporate IT strategy. His teams are routinely recognized for their industry-leading innovations and Adam's thought leadership work is regularly published in Forbes, InformationWeek, and a variety of online blogs and publications.
Chief People Officer & Company Secretary
Vivian Maza has served as chief people officer at Ultimate Software since 2004. Before this, Vivian served as Ultimate’s office manager since the company’s inception in 1990. As chief people officer, Vivian fosters Ultimate’s unique and highly recognized company culture by inspiring employees to continuously support and practice Ultimate’s core values. Prior to joining Ultimate, she was a systems analyst for the wholesale division of ADP.
Global Chief Sales Officer
Since joining Ultimate Software in 1994, Greg Swick has served in several management capacities for the Sales organization. Since 2000, he has led the Enterprise Sales team, serving as Ultimate’s global chief sales officer. Before joining Ultimate, Greg held various positions with ADP, most recently as area vice president of ADP’s Dealer Services division.
Chief Sales Officer
Chris Phenicie currently serves as chief sales officer for Ultimate's Mid-Market division and has held that position since 2009. Previously, Chris held various positions in Ultimate’s Sales organization, beginning in 2000 as a strategic account manager.
Julie Dodd Chief Services Officer
Julie Dodd has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Services Officer since October 2013, responsible for all support and implementation services provided by the Company to its customers. Ms. Dodd served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mid-Market Services, from April 2010 until January 2014 and served as Vice President and General Manager of Mid-Market Operations from January 2009 until April 2010. From October 2007 to December 2008, Ms. Dodd served as the Director of Product Strategy, with primary focus on the UltiPro Mid-Market product offering. Prior to joining Ultimate, Ms. Dodd provided consulting services for large scale implementations, operations efficiencies projects and new cloud product launches for various service providers. From 2002 to 2005, Ms. Dodd held various executive positions with Ceridian Corporation, an information technology company, supporting their small and mid-market solutions.
Chief Relationship Officer
Bill Hicks is chief relationship officer for Ultimate Software, responsible for managing Ultimate’s ongoing relationships with 3,700+ customers. Previously, Bill served as Ultimate’s chief information officer, overseeing the company’s award-winning IT team. During his tenure as CIO at Ultimate, he was honored as the South Florida CIO Council’s Member of the Year, as well as South Florida Business Journal’s 2013 CIO of the Year. Bill was instrumental in the launch and execution of Ultimate’s industry-leading cloud solutions, and he also has overseen the management of Ultimate’s teams for customer service, knowledge services, payment services, and business operations. Bill also leads and serves on numerous community and industry-based boards. Prior to joining Ultimate Software, he was SVP & CIO at Precision Response Corporation.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jody Kaminsky has served as Chief Marketing Officer for Ultimate Software since April 2010. Prior to her role as CMO, she served in various Marketing management roles from 1999 through 2010, including VP of Marketing, VP of Marketing Operations, and Director of Strategic Marketing. Prior to joining Ultimate Software, Ms. Kaminsky held various positions with General Electric (GE) from April 1997 through August 1999, including Manager of Communications and Community Relations for GE Information Services. Ms. Kaminsky is passionate about HCM market strategy and the role of marketing in building brand awareness, reputation management, customer relationships, demand generation, marketing automation and technology, digital marketing, search engine optimization, and event marketing.
