Tony Segreto

Ultimate Software, Liaison-Special Projects

Tony Segreto serves as Ultimate Software's liaison for special projects. In that role, he moderates events, expertly disseminates UltiPro information via videos, and evangelizes Ultimate's products and services to a wide audience. Previously, Tony spent 40 years as one of the most experienced and trusted anchors on South Florida television. He joined WTVJ in 1968 as an intern. During his tenure, he worked as a photographer, producer, reporter, and anchor for both sports and news. During his career, Mr. Segreto covered more than 20 Super Bowls, 2 Olympics, World Series, Stanley Cups, NBA finals, and National Championships. He has also interviewed two sitting presidents and political leaders from around the country. In 1995, he was honored by the South Florida chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with the prestigious Silver Circle Award, recognizing more than 25 years of excellence in broadcast journalism.

Ben Eubanks is the Principal Analyst at Lighthouse Research & Advisory and the author of Artificial Intelligence for HR: Use AI to Build a Successful Workforce (Kogan Page, December 2018). He has authored dozens of reports, eBooks, and other resources, maintains a blog that has touched the lives of more than one million business leaders since its inception, and hosts “We’re Only Human,” a podcast that examines the intersection of talent and technology in the workplace. Previously an HR executive for an Inc. 500-ranked global technology startup, he currently operates Lighthouse Research & Advisory, a human capital research and advisory services firm. He works with HR, talent, and learning leaders across the globe to solve their most pressing business challenges with a research-based perspective tempered by practical, hands-on experience. He is the co-organizer of DisruptHRHSV, an innovative event geared toward helping HR leaders drive more value for their business by sharing disruptive ideas about how to hire, manage, and engage great talent. Most importantly, he has four children, a wonderful wife of ten-plus years, and a preference for running in a variety of outlandish races for fun.

In 2005 he moved to Chicago to build and lead their Americas operation. There he spent 10 years leading and growing the business while consulting with many of the Fortune 500. In 2015 Alex founded DX Learning. DX is a partner in progressive leadership and cultural development that taps into the powerful combination of behavioral psychology and experiential learning, to expose and eliminate bad leadership and prepare leaders to put people first. Ms. Raanan represents clients in complex wage and hour litigation, involving claims for employee misclassification, rounding violations, regular rate of pay issues, meal/rest period compliance, expense reimbursement, off-the-clock issues, as well as derivative claims under California’s Unfair Competition law and Private Attorneys General Act. During her career, Ms. Raanan has represented a range of businesses, from small family-owned businesses and start-ups to large financial institutions. Ms. Raanan is actively involved in the local legal community as an executive committee member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Labor & Employment section. Ms. Raanan is also co-chair of the American Cancer Society’s Newport Beach 2016 Relay for Life and volunteers her time at a variety of ACS OC events, including Making Strides (to raise breast cancer awareness). Ms. Raanan earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School as a member of its two-year accelerated SCALE program. While in law school, she was a recipient of an Oralist Award at the Moot Court Competition in Los Angeles. Ms. Raanan also earned her Masters of Public Policy in Economics and International Relations from Pepperdine University and worked overseas for the U.S. Department of State in Moscow, Russia. Ms. Raanan has experience as pro bono general counsel of LoveMyProvider.com, a startup that connects parents of special-needs children with rated and recommended special-needs service providers.

As a former senior-level manager at Southwest Airlines, Young learned the value of a successful workplace culture. During his ten years with the airline consistently rated #1 in customer service and employee satisfaction, he was a key driver in creating and developing the company’s innovative training programs that led to its world-renowned leadership and customer service culture. Driven by the need to extend his unique insight in leadership development to others outside Southwest, Young separated from the pack in 1998 to launch his own consulting practice specializing in leadership, customer service, and team building. Today, as president of LeadSmart, Inc., Young shares his vision in developing successful corporate cultures and workplace environments with forward-thinking companies, including Starbucks, Radio Shack, Coca Cola, and Tyson Foods, to name just a few. He has even returned to his old turf—Southwest Airlines—to extend his knowledge as a corporate training consultant in leadership development area once again. He shares his philosophy on creating high performance cultures in his book Culturetopia: The Ultimate High Performance Workplace.
