HR Workshop Speaker - Tony Segreto

Tony Segreto serves as Ultimate Software's liaison for special projects. In that role, he moderates events, expertly disseminates UltiPro information via videos, and evangelizes Ultimate's products and services to a wide audience. Previously, Tony spent 40 years as one of the most experienced and trusted anchors on South Florida television. He joined WTVJ in 1968 as an intern. During his tenure, he worked as a photographer, producer, reporter, and anchor for both sports and news. During his career, Mr. Segreto covered more than 20 Super Bowls, 2 Olympics, World Series, Stanley Cups, NBA finals, and National Championships. He has also interviewed two sitting presidents and political leaders from around the country. In 1995, he was honored by the South Florida chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with the prestigious Silver Circle Award, recognizing more than 25 years of excellence in broadcast journalism.

Dr. Brynn Winegard is an award-winning professor, speaker, and expert in 'Business-Brain Sciences'. Brynn completed her formal education at the Schulich School of Business (MBA, PhD) in business and McMaster University in Neuroscience and Psychology. After over a decade in corporate marketing working for Pfizer Inc., Nestle Inc., and Johnson & Johnson Inc, Brynn has dedicated herself to speaking about ‘Building Better Business Brains’ to groups, organizations and companies, stemming from her research, which combines neuroscience and business phenomena – the business of brain science. Professor Winegard retains Faculty positions at the Schulich School of Business’s Executive Education Centre, McMaster University, Ryerson University, and Guelph University. Brynn combines real-world experience with frontier research to deliver impactful programming that will be sure to please your audiences and elevate their life—and brain! When Brynn isn't speaking professionally, she is a regular on media outlets informing business phenomena using insights from social and brain sciences. Cecile Alper-Leroux is an internationally sought-out speaker, thought leader, and visionary on HCM trends, hot topics, and global strategies. Passionate about people and technology in the workplace, Cecile has dedicated her life's work to helping companies design the best possible experience for people at work so they can achieve great things. A seasoned economic anthropologist, she loves uncovering micro-cultures within organizations and helping leaders and HR professionals effectively respond to evolving workplace dynamics, trends, and opportunities. Cecile is currently vice president of human capital management (HCM) innovation at Ultimate Software where she writes and speaks extensively on the changing worker and workforce.

Brittany Taylor’s practice has been dedicated to assisting both employers and employees in managing their workplaces. Her approach to workplace issues is one that is pro-active and preventative. She takes great satisfaction in assisting employees and employers to identify and deal with potential issues before they have an opportunity to evolve into serious headaches for both parties.

Brittany obtained her Juris Doctor from Western, graduating with distinction in 2012. She spent her first few years of practice at a leading Toronto law firm, where she was exposed to a broad range of practice areas before becoming focused in the area of employment law. Being able to gain this hands-on experience in different practice areas has been enormously helpful in understanding and anticipating the needs and concerns of clients beyond the scope of employment related issues.

Brittany began working with Stuart Rudner in August of 2015, where she contributes regular blog posts to his firm’s blog and has been published in notable publications, including Canadian HR reporter. She’s also been invited to speak at a number of conferences and panels, including events hosted by the Canadian Marketing Association, the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and the HRPA.

Marleen Eisenloeffel is HR director at Wajax, a leading Canadian distributor of equipment, power systems, and industrial components. As a CHRL (certified human resources leader) she has a diverse background with employee engagement and relations, company restructuring to meet strategy objectives, performance management, and partnering with sales and operations client groups. Marleen understands the challenges of working with both unionized and non-unionized workers and what to do to get them engaged and motivated at work. She has been with the company since 2012 and uses her background as a bilingual HR manager (English and French Canadian), partnered with her vast knowledge of change management, organizational alignment, talent acquisition, employee training, and employee engagement to help her excel in the role of HR director.
