Equal Pay – Is Your Organization Ready to be Under the Microscope?

Presented by: Lwin, Ellis & Associates — Founding Partner, Doug Lwin

Companies with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees filed EEO-1 Component 2 for 2017 and 2018 back on September 30, 2019. This was the first attempt for EEOC to find a prima facia case from which to audit individual organizations. Is your organization ready for when that time comes? Can you identify possible inequities that may exist in your organization now? Do you know how to address them? In this session, we will review steps your organization can take now, to be better prepared for when EEOC does begin to ask the right questions. We will also review the process of defending existing pay gaps that might appear to be based on gender or minority status when in reality they are not and will review remediation steps to address the true pay gaps. Lastly, outline what your organization can do to reduce pay inequity going forward.

The What and How of Career and Performance Management—Courageous Conversations to Get Team Members Back on Track

Presented by: Five Ways Forward, LLC — President, Colin T. McLetchie

Real performance management is a culture-infused way of being between leaders and employees. It cultivates—nay, requires—leaders to have open, constructive, and honest dialogue with team members about their performance, on an ongoing, consistent basis, seeking to help employees understand “this is how you’re perceived, this is what’s working, this is where you’re struggling, and this is where we see you headed.” Careers get derailed when leaders don’t talk frankly about the “how” things get done. During this session, you’ll discover that the way you start these courageous conversations is critical to success. Using preparation and feedback, you’ll learn to start reinforcing the value of employees and their contributions, and much more.
