| Joan Swenson, chief human resource officer for the Kettering Health Network, has nearly 30 years’ experience in healthcare management from a variety of functions including nursing. In 1982, Joan transitioned to human resources and spent 10 years as the director of human resources for Boston Regional Medical Center while concurrently holding the position of personnel coordinator for the Atlantic Adventist Healthcare Corporation and HR consultant to the Southern New England Conference. Joan joined Kettering Medical Center in 1998 as the director of human resources, and in 2003 she became the chief human resource officer for the Kettering Health Network. |

| Susan DiMickele is a trial lawyer and counselor for private and public sector employers in labor, employment, contracts, collective bargaining dispute resolution and education matters. She has significant jury trial experience in employment discrimination, breach of contract, and fraud cases, including a defense verdict in a three-plaintiff age discrimination case. She litigates for employers in trial courts and before administrative agencies in matters involving wrongful termination, employment discrimination, employee benefits, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, unfair labor practices, personal injury, and wrongful death. Ms. DiMickele focuses on a variety of in-house training for employers, including EEO and diversity training, and represents employers in successful union-free campaigns. She counsels her clients in implementation of litigation-prevention strategies and compliance with all aspects of federal and state employment law. |
