| Seth Rafkin is a litigation partner in the San Diego office of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. He joined the firm in 1998 and is a member of the Employment & Labor and Commercial Class Action Litigation practice groups. His practice focuses on employment matters, including wage and hour class action defense and business litigation. Mr. Rafkin represents clients in a variety of industries, including life sciences, software, and other technologies, retail and construction. He regularly counsels clients on a broad range of employment matters and handles cases involving an array of issues, including sexual harassment, race, gender and disability discrimination, commission disputes, executive compensation, workplace violence, and protection of employer confidential information. Mr. Rafkin also defends class actions involving alleged violations of state and federal wage laws. |

| Thomas Mazzocco is the vice president of human resources / labor relations for the San Diego Convention Center Corporation. He joined the San Diego Convention Center Corporation team in 1994, bringing with him more than 20 years of human resource expertise. He is currently responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive personnel programs for all human resources areas, including labor relations, employment, compensation, benefits, employee training and development, employee relations and services. He has successfully negotiated with more than nine labor unions on the Corporation’s behalf. Prior to joining the San Diego Convention Center team, Tom was a self-employed consultant providing human resources consulting services and owner of Aaircare, an environmental equipment distribution company. |
