Who should attend Connections 2015?

Once again, we will offer tracks geared specifically toward HR, payroll, and talent management. Content will revolve around each person’s unique interests and needs. In addition, based on customers’ requests, we are once again expanding UltiPro hands-on learning. Please note that each session is limited to 55 attendees. Customers will be notified when they can begin registering for hands-on sessions, and those sessions will be filled in the order in which attendees request them. Once the sessions are full, a waiting list will be started and attendees will be notified if an opening comes up.

Why should I attend Connections 2015?

Ultimate Software’s annual customer conference provides invaluable face-to-face opportunities to discover UltiPro best practices, hear about the latest product innovations, network with thousands of other customers, and meet one-on-one with Ultimate experts and executives. This four-day event is your chance to let us know what product advances you’d like to see in future releases, connect with other leaders in your industry, and gain firsthand knowledge that you can’t get at your desk.

What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee includes access to all breakout/training sessions, all general sessions, the Ultimate Experience, the Connect with US Lab, the Welcome Reception on Tuesday evening, the Ultimate Experience Reception on Wednesday afternoon, the Customer Appreciation Party—including the concert--on Thursday evening, breakfasts from Wednesday-Friday, and lunches on Wednesday and Thursday. Travel and hotel costs are the responsibility of the attendee. (Please note that Connections is not a profit-making event for Ultimate. Our goal is to keep the costs reasonable for you while giving you the most value for your investment.)

Is there a group discount if multiple people from my company attend?

Yes! If five or more employees from one company register for Connections 2015 by March 20, 2015, each attendee will save $200 off the standard individual pricing, bringing the cost down to $1,395 each.

When will I know what sessions will be offered at the conference?

An initial list of sample session titles will be available by November. The final session schedule, descriptions and presenters will be available for registration in February. You will be e-mailed when this additional information is posted.

Will recertification credits be offered at the conference?

Traditionally, the American Payroll Association has approved Connections for a significant number of recertification credit hours. We expect that this will be the case for the 2015 conference as well. The APA will provide the exact number of credit hours to us as we get closer to the event, and we will post that information on the Web site. Unfortunately, because Connections is not open to the general public, the HR Certification Institute will not preapprove the conference for HRCI credit hours. But attendees can self-report their attendance at breakout sessions. Please note that Ultimate Software makes no guarantees that HRCI will accept those requests.

I want to bring a guest. What is included with the Guest Pass?

The guest pass allows access to the Welcome Reception on Tuesday evening and the concert and Customer Appreciation Party on Thursday evening. The pass does not allow access to the conference sessions, other meal functions, or the Ultimate Experience Reception on Wednesday afternoon. You can register your guest during the conference registration process. Guests must be 18 years of age or older.

Are there penalties for canceling my registration?

Cancellations received by January 11, 2015 are eligible for a refund of the registration fee less a $125 processing fee. From January 12 – February 22, 2015, all cancellations will be assessed a $500 cancellation fee. After February 22nd, absolutely no refunds are available.

If I can't come, can I send someone else from my organization?

You may send another person from your company at no additional charge. Substitutions must be made in writing to connections@ultimatesoftware.com. Please supply the names of the original registrant as well as the new registrant.

Do I have to book my own hotel room?

Yes. The Connections conference host hotel is Bellagio. While our room block at the Bellagio is full, we’ve secured a limited number of hotel rooms at the MGM Grand Hotel. To take advantage of these reasonably priced rooms before they’re gone, please call the Hotel Reservation Department at 877-313-5757 or 702-891-7777 or fax 702-891-3136. Please tell the reservationist you are with The Ultimate Software Group, group code ULT0315. The room block expires on Friday, March 6 or as soon as the block is full.

How can I cancel or change my hotel reservation?

Please call the Bellagio directly at (888) 987-6667 (or 702-693-7444 from outside the U.S.) with any changes to your room reservation. Please do not contact Ultimate Software as we do not have access to your hotel reservations. If you have a room at the MGM Grand under Ultimate Software’s room block, call 877-313-5757 to change your room reservation.

What airport should I fly in and out of?

Most major airlines operate out of Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport (LAS).

How should I get to the conference once my flight lands?

Bellagio is approximately 15 minutes from McCarran International. Shuttles and taxis at Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport are located on the west side of baggage claim, outside door exits 7-13 in Terminal 1. At Terminal 3, shuttles are located outside on Level Zero on the west end of the building for domestic travelers and on the east side for international travelers. Shuttle prices range from $7 one way up to $16 round-trip to hotels on the Strip. Taxis are approximately $20 one way and are readily available. All transportation operates 7 days a week. Notify the airport attendant if you plan to use a credit card. There is a $2 charge on all fares originating at McCarran.

What is the weather typically like in Las Vegas in March?

The average high temperature is 73 degrees Fahrenheit. The average low temperature is 51 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is the dress code for Connections?

Attendees will be comfortable wearing business casual attire throughout the day as well as at evening events. Please note that hotel conference rooms can sometimes be chilly, so bring a jacket or sweater with you. The conference area is very large, so comfortable shoes are always a great idea.
