Managing compliance in a highly regulated environment

People’s United Bank is a premier, community-based, regional bank in the Northeast offering commercial and retail banking, as well as wealth management services through a network of nearly 400 retail locations in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Like other financial institutions, the bank is required to complete forms or reports for regulations, such as those from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The bank sought to increase the efficiency of its compliance reporting.

Jaime Moss, Vice President of HR Technology & Services at People’s United Bank, took advantage of UltiPro’s Business Intelligence reporting to overcome the difficult and time-consuming process involved in gathering data and generating reports. Additionally, when the bank was required as a federal contractor to conduct a survey of employees with disabilities, Moss put UltiPro to work—making the form available as a self-service feature through the portal so bank employees could complete the survey discreetly.

Efficiency gains from UltiPro’s streamlined compliance, combined with the solution’s other process improvements such as employee and manager self-service, have enabled People’s United to maximize its HR resources by decreasing manual administrative processes.
